COSMETIC TATTOO & PMU REMOVAL
As an experienced removal tech of 6 years, I've seen it all. Botched brows and over lasered skin and ink leaving clients with illuminous hues of colour. As I specialise in removing unwanted cosmetic tattoos and have a vast amount of knowledge when it comes to the complexities of the pigments involved. As I offer different treatments I can also cater to all skin tones.

FACE TO FACE CONSULTATIONS £30
As a saline and laser removal tech I'm not biased and will tell you everything you need to know about cosmetic tattoo removal so you know what to expect. This appointment also enables me to check your skin for scarring and conduct a laser patch test.
LASER REMOVAL from £120
This option is for clients that have undergone saline treatments for PMU with me first. I do not begin treatment plans with laser first. This will ensure you don't end up with yellow brows and also means fewer treatments will be required overall. Further info can be found under my FAQ's below.
SALINE REMOVAL - PMU £150/ SMP £200 per session
A consultation is required before your first treatment so we are able to go through your PMU/ SMP history and discuss your goals so I'm able to explain the treatment and healing in detail before you begin.
EMERGENCY REMOVAL £150 - £250
Within business hours PMU £150/ SMP £200
Outside business hours PMU £200/ SMP £250 (Can't always be accommodated but please e-mail ss.skinandlaser@gmail.com with the subject title EMERGENCY REMOVAL and I'll get back to you as soon as I possibly can)

This requires you visit me within 48 hours of your PMU being applied so I am able to soak the area with saline and disrupt the ink from fully settling into the skin. Please keep in mind follow up treatments will be required. An ALLERGY to Aloe Vera excludes you from this treatment.
PMU RESCUE PACKAGE £450 SAVING £120
This option is specifically for those who have had no removal treatments of any kind on the area before.
By purchasing 3 x Saline removal treatments upfront your will receive your laser treatment at no cost saving £120!
Any additional saline treatments that may be required outside of the package is subject to 20% OFF.

Just before you third saline treatment is carried out a laser patch test is carried out on a small section to see how that pigment reacts. As you heal following your saline treatment we will also see how the lasered areas heals and will be able to see if any pinks, oranges or red appear. If they do it's quite apparent additional saline treatments maybe needed however this is all dependant on how saturated your PMU is to begin with. REQUEST HERE.
PMU SAVIOUR PACKAGE £700 SAVING £500
If you have had laser treatments elsewhere and been left with orange, red, yellow colours in the skin which are getting you down, this package enables you to have as many saline removal treatments as possible for 2 years! It is strongly advised to book a consultation first just so we can go through your PMU history and discuss your goals so I'm able to explain the treatment and healing in detail before you begin. -
What is the age restriction of this treatment? You must be 18 years and over to undergo this treatment.
-
How many treatments will I need? This varies person to person, ink type, age of the cosmetic tattoo, density of the colour, your skin health, adhereance to aftercare and consistency with the treatments affects how quickly you'll see results. Some clients have achieved their desired results within 5 sessions, some are on 20+. Also your ideal outcome matters, do you wish to lighten the old tattoo enough for a coverup or do you want it 100% gone?
-
What may exclude me from having this treatment? If you are Fitzpatrick 5 and 6 (our insurance doesn't allow us to laser these skin tones) Pregnancy/ breastfeeding Blood thinning medication Acne/ Acne Medications Keloid scarring Some Auto-immune diseases Health conditions are discussed in further detail during consultation and in some cases a Doctor's note may be required.
-
What can't you treat Fitzpatrick 5 & 6 Skin tones?Darker skin tones are deemed high risk due to being more prone to scarring, Hyperpigmentation and permanent damage (Hypopigmentation) that can be caused to the melanin of the skin i.e. permanent loss of skin colour in the area.
-
How do I prepare for my appointment?- Avoid caffeine - Avoid blood thinning medication i.e.ibuprofen - Wear comfortable and loose clothing - Bring your headphones if music helps you relax - Ensure your appointment is booked at a time when you're able to relax for a short time before/ after. - Shave the area the day before (not eyebrows for permanent makeup removal). Shaving is only usually required on arms, chest, legs, shoulders. Try to avoid cutting/ nicking the area as this will mean the sessions can't go ahead as lasers can't be used on any areas where an open wound is present.
-
What can I expect during my appointment?Once you're comfortable an ice pack will be placed on the area(s) that will be treated. The lasering will begin after a few minutes and breaks can be taken if needed and the ice pack will be reapplied as needed. Once the treatment has been completed aloe vera gel will be applied (area/ clothing dependent), you will be provided aftercare and your next appointment will be booked in.
-
How soon can I start after my patch test?A minimum of 7 days post patch test as long as your skin/ ink has reacted well. If you are breastfeeding it is advised to wait at least 6 months after you are no longer breastfeeding to book a patch test.
-
I'm not sure whether to lightening up for a cover up or aim for full removal? If you're looking to lighten your existing tattoo enough for a cover up you must seek advice from your tattoo artist and provide them with an idea of the new tattoo you would like. Please do not take the advice from your tattoo artist i.e. "you'll only need 2 or 3 sessions" as a hard and fast guideline that you will only need 2 or 3 sessions. Why? They can't gurantee how well your tattoo is going to break down and the result of that will be you misstrusting me, a person that specialises in tattoo removal services. Even I can't guarantee how your tattoo will breakdown after each session. Nobody can guarantee how your tattoo will breakdown due to the reasons stated under 'How many sessions will I need?'. Your artist should only be advising if (a) they can cover up what you already have without it showing through and (b) How much lighter your existing tattoo needs to be i.e. 30-40% lighter. Aiming for full removal? Expect upwards of 8 + sessions.
-
What is the frequency of the treatments?Patch test then wait at least 7 days. Full sessions require a minimum of 8-10 weeks of healing in between. Some cases may require longer depending on how your skin reacts to the treatment. For your first 2-3 sessions coming in every 8-10 weeks is advised. After this point we vary the frequency from 8, 12 to 16 weeks between sessions, sometimes longer.
-
My tattoo(s) have colour, can they be removed?Laser loves black ink, it reacts and breaks down black ink the best. Other colours including red can be targeted however will take a little longer to breakdown. As for orange, green and yellows, the laser has difficulty detecting the ink so alternative options such as saline removal method may need to be considered however this is dependent on the size of the tattoo so please contact me to request a quote/ treatment plan for saline removal.
-
Can I use numbing cream?I do not supply/ apply numbing cream however you're welcome to purchase it from your local pharmacy and apply it BEFORE your appointment following manufacturers instructions. Please note: Numbing agents create a slight barrier between the laser and the ink which does affect the effectiveness of the treatment. It is also your responsibility to patch testthe numbing cream a week before your treatment (not on the area to be treated) incase you have a reaction to it.
-
What are your credentials?I am a Level qualified and insured laser technician and I use a LS6 YAG Machine, it'ssmall but mighty. The spot size is smaller unlike a Picosure machine which is why the treatment plans are adjusted to ensure sections of larger tattoos are targeted rather than the whole tattoo in one sitting. This enables you body to better expel the ink without overloading your system and ensures better healing and results.
-
What is Focused Tattoo Removal?TAILORED TREATMENT PLANS if you have a large tattoo or multiple tattoos you wish to have removed, I will quote you a price to cover all sessions within one cycle of removal sessions. Example: A large tattoo will need to be broken down into sections, size dependent. If you have multiple tattoos you would like to target then this plan means I would target one or two tattoos at a time, sizes dependent. The frequency is that one section or tattoo is targeted in one visit. Approximately 7 days later another section or tattoo is targeted and so on. This could be spread across 2 or 6+ visits every 7 days dependent on the size/ number of tattoos. After 8- 10 weeks of healing the cycle is repeated. Why? - This allows my clients to achieve better results by placing less pressure on their immune system - Allows your lymphatic system to dispose of the ink safely without overloading their system - Enables clients to have a more cost effective option rather than paying per tattoo - Allows clients some respite from an uncomfortable treatment - Minimises the risk of scarring and ensures healthier healing.
-
What payment options do you have?Pay as you go- A set amount you'll be quoted before or during your consultation and patch test. Focused plans- A set fee that covers multiple sessions in one cycle. Subscription payments- Weekly direct debit payable over 8 weeks to cover the cost of your treatment if it has been quoted at £80 plus. Packages- Purchase 4 treatments upfront and receive 20% off.
